Very Big And Wide Picturer Screen At Home (Cinemascope )

5 posts in this topic

One person that I helped construct his home theater decided that the 16:9 projector does not give a wide enough picture so he bought a couple of low cost prisms and made an add on lens to give a much wider picture 2.35:1 . The results are spectacular . It cost him bugger all to do it .

Since then I have found out that there is a lot of information on the net regarding " CinemaScope home theater" You can buy the lens or make it :-

http://www.panamorph.com/cinevista/index.html .http://www.zuggsoft.com/theater/prism.htm

Have a look at these as it will blow your mind .... :rofl2: .........................Alan

I've seen some projectors that did that format. I saw a TV manufacturer is selling a tv in the 2.35:1 too, but I forgot who it was. Nice article though. Now I wish I had a projector. Have you done this Alan or are you planning to?

What is your current Projector Alan? Better yet, what all are you running. I know you run Klipsch speakers, but that is all that I remember.
