Our Winter Is Approaching My Busy Almost Time.

08 May 2012 - 07:35 PM

Our winter is approaching , seeing that America is on the wrong side of the world you will be getting summer .
I love winter the temperature range here is 70*-85*F . I looked in my cupboard and i had forgotten that I had 2 jumpers that i only use when i want to go overseas.Never have to wear a jumper here day or night .
Being in the troppics it is our dry season , no rain or very little , sunny every day .
During the day i listen to Hi Fi music and seeing it gets dark early 5pm-6pm it means that we can fit in 2or3 dvds during the night .
Winter is a more social time here as you can plan what you are doing weeks in advance knowing that is beautiful weather.
I must start thinking again about outdoor theatre seeing that it is getting darker sooner . I brought the sub woofer last year , I suppose that is the start .all the rest of the electrics is cheap , including the projector and the screen frabrication...... 10:30 AM ,I think i will go and pollish my car today too nice a day to be inside .
Change of plans , Walking 200 yards down to the pacific ocean with my trusty fishing rod to catch some lunch ........Alan

My, Our Trip To Puerto Rico Via Usa

26 December 2011 - 06:41 PM

Well, we finally headed off to the train station at 830 am to catch the 10 am Train to Brisbane, one of the capital cities with a international air port , arrived 41/2 hours later(high speed tilt train) The train body leans into the corners, like on a moter cycle. Our flight that was to leave Brisbane to Lax was cancelled so stayed overnight in a motel in Brisbane as our flight left at 630am for Sydney , an other capital city 1 hour south of Brisbane . In the morning caught a train to the international air port .
5 hours later caught the flight to Fiji ,( we were booked in to a broken flight). stayed there for 6 hours for our flight to Lax.
Got to Lax 8 hours later and just missed our connecting flight by 2 min due to the extremely long wait in customs, 4 jumbo jets had landed at the same time. The next flight to Dulles that had 2 vacant seats was in 5 hours .
After the 6 hour flight we arrived at 5 am. Our son was waiting and took us for breakfast at a very nice diner . When we got to his place in Pontamac Falls we went to bed and collapsed and had a 12 hour sleep .We could not sleep on the planes .. :bananaDance:........................Alan
