I have a question for you guys. I am currently in the market for a new home theater system. I am wondering what you think would be a better buy: the Yamaha Aventage RX-A1000 or Denon AVR3310CI. Currently, I have a two really phenomenal deals on these two receivers and am having trouble deciding which one to go with - both almost identical in price. This will be an all purpose amp: frequently being used for music listening, movie watching, internet radio, etc. I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks

I am a Yahama guy myself. I have the RX-A800 and love it. I wanted the A1000, but it was more than I wanted to pay. I have no experience with Denon so with that being said which one is the better deal for power and processing?

Thanks for the reply; I actually am replacing my Denon AVR2600 from about a hundred years ago( which is why I'm seriously considering the Denon). However, I've heard great things about Yamaha and appreciate your reply. I believe the Denon has slightly more power, but the yamaha is generally a more reliable model- I've read and has some features that the dennon lacks? I'd love to hear some more people's comments on the subject.

I've worked with both brands but neither model in specific. They both make a great product, but I am more biased towards Yamaha. Used them much more than the Denons and have had mostly favorable results. Not to say that I didn't with the Denon, just more familiar with Yamaha and know their product well enough to give someone the go ahead.
