I have a HK DPR1005 and a a/d/s PH6 amp running a pair of a/d/s L1090s .Im happy with the system when its running off the HKs digital reciever since I have ZERO noise. The a/d/s has always ran my subs without any problems .I decided to try running my L1090s off the a/d/s amp for power and Im getting a TON of hiss through the speakers. What can I do to fix this?????? I have a decent Monster cable for the speakers and output signal. The amp hasnt been cleaned or opened up by me yet since I dont know what to do.........? Thx for the help.......

Maybe there are some angry cats in your amp.
How are your gains set though? If you run the gains wide open, you can get hissing.

Cables will not introduce hiss.
It seems that your old amp is faulty . .....................Alan

I took the amp out to the garage and opened it up to clean it with my air compresor and shopvac.I then figured out the correct way to bridge my 6 channels into 3 channels since I could never get the noise to go away no matter what combo of channels I used for my main speakers. It is now working perfectly with absolutely no noise now and it sounds great...........finally.
