Meh, still think its stupid and looks like shit in your yard. If you have time to go outside shut the "idiot box" off and look at nature. More exciting anyways.

If you had one you would be playing another tune.

Good day again .
As one can imagine with DIY the biggest problem is the screen .
I think i have found the next to perfect screen material , The stuff that is used for 'home for sale' signs. Over Here it is called 'cor-flute' Double sided polly sheeting .An 8x4 sheet costs about $19 . The sheets can be butt joined , and if one wishes , a bit of white electrical tape over the join .
Lets face it , my tests show you screens in general can be built rougth as guts, but , once projected on they look good , you cant see any imperfections . Try it you will be amazed .
Coreflute can be stapled glued screwed nailed . it surpasses all the criteria in my previous post .
I noticed there is a shiny side and a flat side ,we would use the flat side .
If you wished it can also be painted . Paint sticks to it like shit to a blanket .
N ext , the frame . I will have to think about that . Rome was not built in a day .......................

I did something similar in the past and called it a lawn theater. It was fun for 2 summers, but it died off and nobody had time to watch movies.
My system is also part of our Haunt during October. I have no pictures of this though. The kids loved it!

Couldn't disagree more. When I go outside I enjoy outside. Watching movies isn't part of that equation.
I did see a couple this summer in an outdoor theater which counteracts my statements, but this theater was floating out on the lake I live on requiring a boat to get there. The novelty of outdoor theater wears off really quick.

Good day Neal.
Where we live we spend most of the home time oudoors by the pool because it is tropical . So having the opion of having entertainbent out there. Is quite reasonable and I cant see it dying off also we have a collection of over 3000 dvds , yes 3k . ........................alan
