What Receivers Are You Guys Running?

21 posts in this topic

Right now, well I have had for awhile, but may be upgrading, is a AVR7000 by Harman Kardon

I do love it, the power, the clarity, function, and controls, but I may upgrade to something with HDMI switching

That is a nice piece. :) At the moment, I have an ancient Sony, not really worthy of a picture. I will be starting a new topic soon for the search for a new receiver. :suicide-santa:

I got lucky on the AVR 7000, bought it a few years ago, and was my dream receiver next to the AVR 8000

When I worked at Fry's Electronics from 98 - 2000 in the home audio/ car audio dept, the Sony's were actually pretty good receivers.

I liked them at the time

That's a steal. It looks to be in damn fine shape too. I loved the warmth of their older series amplifiers. The newer units still sound great, but 5 years ago they were amazing.

Would love to have a Carver or a Crown. ;)

Ha, amusingly I have a Crown and not a Carver. Forgot I switched things.

Almost like you knew...
