I know for a car you need to upgrade alot of the electrical backup to run alot of power.
What kind of electrical ugrades, if any are required to do a big subwoofer setup in a house? Like over 2000 watts for subwoofers,

Gooday
That sort of power is simply dangerous for you or any visitors .
Be reasonable , one does not need that amount of power in a home sub
You should be using the vast experience of other members to suggest the amount of power needed , and most important what sub they may recommend for the size of the room .
Do your self a favour mate and listen to the learned . ................................Alan
but my question didnt concern some kids room setup, Im planning for a mini theater for a house some day and need to do some hw on it first.
I have a low power standard radio in my car . No sub . I get good sound and i enjoy it . I agree , a loud car setup will destroy my eardrums.
I have built many HTs , and one thing one does not need is for the sound level to be uncomfortably loud.IT just ruins the theatre experience .The sound needs to be crystal clear. Most of the money spent on HT should be on the front speakers and the acoustics of the room, they are the weakest link, For a mini home theatre , one just needs 15 '' sub with 150W of power max . See my notes on HT and if you need any more info please ask us members . we will steer you in the right direction .....................Alan
for you maybe.
dont just assume i dont know much cuz of my post count. single 10 in a 19hz tline in the livin room now off of 150~250 watts. I know how to get the good low end without having 2000 watts.
just stay on topic about electrical upgrades on this thread
Its way more damaging to yourself, with that power in a car..
