  4. Gooday Aaron , It is good and normal practice to have all 3 front speakers matching ,EG if somebody is moving across the screen talking ,as hapens a lot , One can hear a speaker mismatch . The rears can be anything ..........Alan
  5. Gooday again Aaron, My son has the SVS sub in his Theater (home) I have watched many movies and listened to a lot of music at his place in Virginea USA The sub is better than anybody would need , Sure it cost a lot of money and is one quarter the size of a piano . But it is worth it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Alan
  6. Gooday Aaron , The speakers look extreemly impressive . the specs show the spkrs are a bit power hungry 80 db at 1 M, They would benefit from a decent sub if used with say ,eg , pipe orgen music at very high levels . With your testing you compare them with the big guns B&W , very nice , and a fraction of the price ., kind regards..........................Alan
  7. Good to hear from you jTodd. I have been in and out of hospital all last year , and a few times in intensive care , i thought i wouldnt see daylight again, but, I did , only the good die young! My illness is more or less stabelised and i am felling good . I am now swimming a few times a day, the trouble is that the water temp is a little too warm it is like a luke warm bath and it drains the energy out of you . Today Thursday , I am restarting the amp project again I have the new camera , and at last i can use it, I was too crook to use it before. Hope all is well with you and your family. My 2015 aim is to try and get the forum rolling again by doing all i can .................................Alan

  15. Gooday Todd. I am not doing a kit , so far The mike is going to be a condensor type , I have found a Panasonic WM-61 miniture insert , iTjust needs a amp and battery real response 2cps to 30, 000 very low distortion and fairly low noise. Sent away for some , about fifty cents each , yes it compares to $1000, commercal mikes . As a mater of fact it can be used as a flat refferance mike .I kid you not , have to research this more ..................Alan Pics shortly
